How much warning does Belgrade Airport give when a flight is late?

A median of 50 minutes. Across 1,549 changes we recorded on the Belgrade Airport arrivals board, 60% appeared less than an hour before the scheduled landing — roughly the drive from Novi Sad, so for most delays the board tells you after a car meeting the flight would already have left.

Does a bigger delay come with more warning?

Barely. The same changes, grouped by how large the shift was:

15 to 30 min46055 min
30 to 60 min17460 min

The finding

The warning does not scale with the delay. A shift of more than an hour is announced about as late as a shift of ten minutes. So the size of a delay tells you nothing about how much notice you will get — the only reliable plan is to watch the board yourself, or have someone watch it for you.

How this was measured

We read the Belgrade Airport arrivals board every few minutes and append every change to a published estimate. Between 2026-07-29 and 2026-09-02 that is 1,549 changes. "Warning" is the gap between our seeing the changed estimate and the originally scheduled arrival — not between the change and the actual landing. This describes the board's behaviour, not any airline's, and it is one summer of it.
